Kansas Museum of History

These are the four fourth grade monkeys I was put in charge of keeping track of yesterday on their field trip to Topeka. Easier said than done!

The kids were awesome yesterday. They were well behaved, paid attention, and asked good questions. They represented their school very well.

This was the first flag presented to the State of Kansas. It says "Admit Me Free." This is in reference to Kansas wanting to be admitted to the union as a free state rather than a slave state.

This is the Drover car of the #132 train. This is where the cowboys sat when they had to move their cattle herds by train.
